Sweet chestnut derby handle with filigree collar walking stick

An unusual and very smart derby cane. The sweet chestnut handle has been scorched to highlight the pattern of the grain and the cane then varnished with a very high shine varnish. 

A brass filigree collar is another unusual touch and the cane is fitted with a metal ferrule.

The derby handle offers excellent support to the hand, and may be hooked over the arm when not in use.
